Medical Center Bangkok is a concept-stage healthcare and commercial development in Watthana, Bangkok, prepared through massing and feasibility studies. The site is a dense metropolitan plot with height controls, setback requirements, and constrained access. The programme comprises clinical functions, public circulation areas, ancillary commercial space, and building services. Design Consultant Group led architectural concept development, massing analysis, and feasibility coordination.

Planning adopts a tower-and-podium configuration. Public functions and clinical access are consolidated at lower levels. Treatment and support areas are vertically stacked above. Massing is stepped to respond to planning controls and adjacent context. Sectional organisation integrates vertical circulation, service risers, and mechanical zones. Sky gardens are positioned to support daylight access and operational breaks within the stack. Structural grids allow adaptability for future clinical layouts.

Massing / Vertical Organisation

The envelope is derived from the structural grid and sectional stacking. Solid and glazed zones correspond to clinical privacy and public interface requirements. Setbacks are integrated within the primary massing logic.

Ground conditions accommodate controlled access, drop-off, and service entry. Public and clinical circulation are separated. Service routes are consolidated and screened. Urban interface remains legible and controlled.
