Project
Raintree Resort is a concept-stage hospitality development in Mueang Chiang Mai, prepared as a feasibility and architectural concept study. The site is an urban plot with defined street frontage and surrounding mid-rise context. The programme includes guest accommodation, shared amenities, and supporting service areas. Design Consultant Group was responsible for architectural concept design, site planning, massing studies, and feasibility coordination.
Planning is structured around a central pool courtyard forming the primary organisational datum. Accommodation and public programmes are arranged to maintain clear zoning and circulation separation. Ground levels accommodate shared functions and service interfaces. Upper floors consolidate accommodation within repetitive structural bays. Sectional organisation supports natural ventilation, controlled solar exposure, and operational segregation between public, guest, and back-of-house circulation.
Elevation / Façade / Arrival
The street elevation is defined by a continuous arched arcade at ground level. The arcade provides weather protection and supports active frontage uses. Structural rhythm is derived from column spacing and slab geometry. Upper accommodation volumes are set back from the street line to reduce apparent scale.
Primary access is aligned directly from the public footpath. Lobby and food-and-beverage functions front the street under the arcade. Service access is segregated and screened. Back-of-house circulation remains isolated from public areas.
