The Project

Mango Residences is a modern low-rise project that has been designed to provide a frame to the mountainous view of the Mueang Chiang Mai with an advanced tropical modernist approach. A combination of deep horizontal balconies, structural frame articulation, and timber-screened create an architectural language that will beautifully tune natural light, privacy and cross-ventilation.

The design, based on the local principles of modernism, provides the project with high-performance residential environment, balancing resort-scale aesthetics with strict climatic consideration.

The Architectural Expression

This perspective shows the major residential blocks arranged along a landscaped frontage which makes use of continuous balconies and projecting roof planes to create a strong horizontal datum. Corner glazing full-height is carefully used to make the most of natural lighting and for uninterrupted long distance views, timber fins on a vertical plane give a sense of touch and passive climatic regulation.

The resultant facade is a strict contemporary ensemble that incorporates structural lucidity and the local environmental requirements of the Chiang Mai setting.
