The Project

Our engagement as Local Design Architect in Rangsit Condominium, a current mid-rise project in Bangkok, centers around the strategic statutory integration, localisation of architecture, and control of all authority authorisation. The project can be used to translate international design intent into a structurally buildable, code compliant residential building with precise calibration on Thailand planning controls and local construction regulations.

The nature of our role is such that the original vision is optimized to suit the local market without compromising the strict compliance with the architectural goals of the project.

The Tower & Technical Strategy

Tower massing has been designed to be a disciplined vertical composition, which uses stacked balconies and recessed planes of the facade to control the sunlight exposure and improve thermal performance. Structural proportions are also moderated with care to reduce apparent height and repetitive structural bays are used to guarantee the high degree of constructability and cost efficiency.

The design creates an understated architectural identity through material continuity and fine rhythm of the facades that are durable and receptive to its dense urban residential setting.
